Emerging Technology Architect
CurrentFrom May 2019 through March 2023, I was apart of our internal IT Innovation Team and was tasked with identifying and exploring opportunities to leverage new and emerging technologies and IT trends. The team's primary goal was to execute proof-of-concepts for these new opportunities and to work with various departments within IT to implement proposals. My responsibilities on the team were to help design and implement back-end architecture for our initiatives, to understand the IT ecosystem at the company and to help scope and align our proof-of-concepts to our existing architecture, to operationalize and deploy our proof-of-concepts, to identify and generate innovative ideas, and to coordinate efforts across various operations-focused teams within IT.The most significant accomplishment during my tenure on the team was leading an effort to implement a containerized architecture for .NET and Angular applications, developing and deploying CI/CD processes, implementing container orchestration (OpenShift), and implementing application performance monitoring (AppDynamics). More specifically, I created container images for our applications, created and implemented CI/CD process flows in ADO to automatically build and deploy containers, helped design the OpenShift environment, created helm charts and k8s manifests for our applications, and implemented AppDynamics for APM within all .NET and Angular containers. In March 2023, the IT Innovation Team was reorged and I joined the Enterprise Architecture Team with a focus on DevOps initiatives, including:- Automating CI/CD process flows for AWS CDK deployments- Automating code quality scanning (SonarQube)- Automating code vulnerability scanning (Snyk)- Management of OpenShift Container Platform- Management of Azure DevOps Server
