Dr. Josh Pace is currently the Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music Education at Lee University where he directs the Lee Wind Ensemble and teaches courses in music education. Dr. Pace earned his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Instrumental Conducting with a Cognate in Educational Leadership at the University of Florida. He studied under Dr. David Waybright, Professor Jay Watkins, and Dr. Chip Birkner. During his time at Northwest, Mr. Pace was the recipient of the CHI Health Top Teacher Award as well as the Nebraska State Band Masters Outstanding Young Band Director Award.From 2017-2021, Dr. Pace attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, earning a Masters in Music Education while studying under Dr. Glenn Nierman, Dr. Carolyn Barber, Dr. Brian Moore, and Dr. Rhonda Fuelberth. His professional affiliations include Florida Bandmasters Association, Tennessee Music Education Association, Tennessee Bandmasters Association, and National Association for Music Education.
