Josh began his broadcasting career at the age of 18 as a club DJ in Boulder CO. Before any formal experience, young Powers would record skits and tape mixed radio shows in middle and high school, mimicking his then favorite radio personalities’ voices and skits. Just a few years after beginning a DJ career, Josh went on to produce and host a radio show at Colorado University at Boulder at the pre-radio 1190am dorm-only station, KUCB. After the switch back to AM radio at CU Boulder, Josh held the show there until they no longer let non-students be producers. In 2000 Mr. Powers started 2 shows at the University of Denver’s internet radio station KVDU. He and his partner DJ’d the launch party of the station. The shows he ran had a substantial following on the web until Josh’s move to Grand Junction a year later, where for a summer he hosted his own show at the Mesa State universities FM station, KMSA. From the start of his club DJ experience, he continued to DJ weekly, monthly and one off events while promoting many successful shows and events of his own. Powers has now spent 20 years being a Disc Jockey, performing and promoting events, producing and recording original music and furthering his many other talents. Josh graduated with a GPA of 3.9 at The Colorado Media School at Belmar in Denver CO, succcessfully furthering education started long ago, but to establish a more solid foundation in which to leverage his dream of spending yet another 20 years involved in the broadcasting industry.He currently works as a Wedding DJ and produces video and audio content for several projects.
