Providing one-to-one mentoring to social housing residents, many of whom are long term unemployed, to start a business or explore self employment opportunities. As part of this role, I worked with various external partners to deliver additional training and grant funding to help clients achieve their business goals.

Part of the income generation team in this bold and fast growing homelessness charity in Bristol, focusing on the procurement of funding from trusts and foundations, developing cases for support, reporting on projects and maintaining funder relationships.

Rotational graduate scheme with an award winning business finance organisation in Bristol. This scheme begins in underwriting and credit risk, before moving on to periods in both relationship management and operations.

In September 2016 I began my placement role as a Business Development Officer, following a previous stint of voluntary work during the summer of 2015. This role required me to source funding for the organisation, and administer loan finance to both individuals, businesses and renewable energy projects. I managed workloads effectively, streamlining processes during a period in which client throughput increased ten-fold. During this time I became particularly competent in credit appraisal, developing a detailed understanding of risk management and business start up .In March 2017, I was invited to present on 'The Future of Financial Services in the UK' at the Responsible Finance Conference in Cardiff. I confidently addressed over 100 industry professionals, speaking of the potential impacts of Brexit and the importance of affordable financial services to affected communities.
