Design is in my blood. With a father, mother, uncle and two brothers in this field, I spent the better part of my childhood and young adulthood trying to differentiate myself by finding other outlets. I tried music, which I love. I tried literature, which fascinates me. I tried social science, which motivates and inspires me. But while all of these pursuits were fulfilling, none by themselves could offer an equal alternative to my natural desire to design.When the urge to fight is sated, little is left but to embrace the inevitable: I love good design. Front end UI, back end code, and everything in between. Simple and elegant form, masterful video timelines, flowing layout, and clean, well-commented code provide for me a sophisticated and sublime experience; simultaneously a fine wine and a really awesome cheeseburger.Foodies love great food and become chefs. Readers who appreciate quality literature often take up writing. So it is with me - I immerse myself in the creative process every day because I am motivated by great design.Over the last 16 years, I've spent the majority of my time both managing designers and designing myself in a myriad of mediums. Print collateral, billboards and signage, ad layout, video production, video editing, livestreaming, copywriting, audio production, voiceover and editing, even Flash (once upon a time) and now generative AI in all its various forms...a veritable Josh of all trades. I also dabble in freelance and pro-bono work, as the situation may warrant and time allows.I love the challenge and variability of working on an internal marketing and design team, but it's not the only way to fly. I welcome design challenges in all forms and in all forums, be they internal teams, ad firms, or freelance work. As I've matured as a leader, designer and human being, I've come to realize that while dreams still matter, life is about the journey. So while I still dream about what the future may bring, my primary focus is on the joy of today; in finding professional fulfillment in every person, project and design I am responsible for.

  As Creative Director, I lead a team of world-class designers in creating engaging products and supportive graphics for Noria's various lines of business. I provide constructive feedback on various designs, process incoming project requests from other departments and coordinate our own internal design projects. I organize and assign tasks within the department, monitor progress and facilitate communication throughout the lifespan of each project.In addition to leading my team, I also contribute creatively as the senior member of our comprehensive design team. Within that team, my primary responsibility is the planning, production and publication of video and multimedia content including live video training courses, promotional videos, informational and educational video content. I also create various After Effects animations to support Noria's educational products, create and maintain our various websites, construct HTML emails and templates, and contribute to other assorted print, web and mixed-media creative materials as needed.
