I work with Cloudflare Resellers and MSPs to help drive adoption of the Cloudflare global network to make everything their customers connect to the Internet secure, private, fast, and reliable.

As a Systems Architect I supported Idaho & Oregon Enterprise Accounts. I work on building relationships with customers and partners to architect and size Nutanix-based solutions as a trusted advisor. While at Nutanix, I have become a subject matter expert, developing content for our user conferences and training internal teams.

As a leader on the platforms team of a nationwide retailer, I lead a team of 30+ onshoreand offshore staff and am responsible for over 1600 ESX servers and 6000 VMs across 1200+ locations including data centers, retail stores and supply chain sites. While leading internal enterprise modernization efforts I proposed and led implementation of converged infrastructure into the primary data center, standardizing configuration and support while allowing for rapid provisioning to meet business needs.

Working with business units across 30+ nationwide locations, I was responsible for researching, proposing, and implementing technology solutions to standardize and automate processes across disparate systems. I was responsible for key business applications & migrating legacy systems to new technologies, to maintain 24/7 uptime.Application Support: As my primary responsibility, I work daily with Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, and Boise’s proprietary order entry & invoicing systems, to design, implement and maintain workflow solutions utilizing OnBase, a document management & workflow solution.Infrastructure: To increase application availability for our Enterprise Applications, I migrated web applications off of a legacy Foundry Load Balancer onto an A10 AX that supports Layer 7 load balancing with minimal downtime to users. Working with the Data Services & Platform Teams I also recommended and implemented a Windows patching solution that provides granular control of our SQL & Application Servers, providing coordinated and sequenced patching to our mission critical Windows Applications.

Responsible for modernizing, standardizing and simplifying NetMotion’s IT Infrastructure. While also managing the helpdesk team, I was able to virtualize the server infrastructure, implement shared storage, re-design the network, simplify Active Directory and standardize the back-up procedures.Infrastructure: Migrated off of legacy hardware onto VMware ESX 4.1i with LeftHand SAN which replaced over 30 physical machines. Upgraded all domain services to Windows 2008 R2 and migrated from Exchange 2003 to 2010. Database Support: Designed and built out new MySQL, & Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 environments. I was responsible for consolidating the standalone and legacy databases into the new architecture as well as supporting the application owners and providing backup services to meet recovery time objectives.Networking: Led project to replace flat network with smaller purposeful networks, implemented vlans, QOS for VOIP and consolidated routing in preparation for rolling out IPv6. Application Support: Responsible for design, implementation and support of application servers (OS & software) to support key company functions: bug tracking, SharePoint, external website, source code, customer licensing database, financial system, etc.

Software Acquisition: Seek solutions for both back office applications and value added applications to support the Special Olympics chapters regionally, and ultimately, around the world. One of the first decisions made was to outsource our email environment for the entire Special Olympics international staff. Implemented a solution which not only hosts email and web conferencing, but also added the functionality of instant messaging and a collaboration environment, at a price far below what it would cost to do in house.Planning & Project Management: To ensure successful application development or acquisition, identify technical requirements and funding, as well as build consensus across business units, to plan and implement all hardware and software upgrades. In the 1st Quarter of 2010 rolled out a redundant Avaya VOIP telephone solution complete with softphones for mobile users and VPN phones for teleworkers. Even thought the new system required a complete network upgrade of all switches, it has reduced monthly telephone costs by 62% and will pay for itself in less than a year.

As the Lead Technologist for 2009 World Winter Games, Crosby is responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of the organization’s information technology infrastructure. He will oversee the design, deployment and operation of the organization’s integral IT system, which includes all software, hardware, and telecom necessary to successfully run a multi-day, multi-venue event.Crosby has nearly a decade of IT experience and has been working with non-profits for the past five years as both consultant and staff. Before coming to work for the 2009 Games, Crosby was Director of IT Operations for Special Olympics Inc in Washington, DC. He volunteered to re-locate to Boise for two years to work on this event.

Remote Access: As a global organization, supported IT operations around the world providing access to centrally managed applications such as e-mail, financial tools and grants management, via remote connectivity with WAN and Citrix remote access solutions. Supported regional offices by assessing needs, designing, procuring and installing a standardized IT infrastructure in the following Special Olympics regional offices: Johannesburg, South Africa; Delhi, India; and Panama City; Panama.Policy & Procedures: Responsible for the creation of all policy & procedures related to IT. These include such things as email management, official use of company IT equipment, equipment allocation, and guidelines for application use.

Provided on-site and remote network services to a variety of non-profit clients in the DC area. Responsibilities included network design, server maintenance, upgrade road mapping, helpdesk support, hardware & software specification.

As the only U.S. based Sales Engineer for a German company, prepared and delivered technical and sales presentations at client sites throughout the U.S., then evaluated and prepared client sites for installation of BOhead’s product. Also responsible for managing the internal Windows NT/2000 network with Windows, Unix and Macintosh 9 clients.

Started within sales and moved to an IT support function, managing end users and Windows NT architecture to support the phone and internet based point of sale system for one of the marine industries premiere catalog companies.
