Acted as consultant to vehicle program team to balance fuel economy with other areas of the vehicle such as drivability, noise and vibration, performance, and ride and handling. Coordinated calibration teams to and optimize fuel economy enabling technologies. Championed efforts to correlate vehicle model to chassis dynamometer data, determined areas where vehicle was underachieving relative to simulation.

Sourced testing to outside firms to complete efficiency and spinloss testing. Created and implemented test plan with cross-functional team for hypoid gearset fatigue. Additionally spent time as a Manufacturing Integration Engineer helping with the plant launch of the axle program.

Architected data processing algorithm to prove real-world fuel consumption benefits from Adaptive Cruise Control, implemented MATLAB processing tool to parse and process hundreds of gigabytes of data accounting for millions of driven miles. Employed statistical methods to evaluate data and validate results. Upgraded algorithm and tools to implement flexibility for future use in departmental projects.Became proficient in modeling vehicle fuel economy and performance using MATLAB. Investigated to evaluate potential benefits of skip-shifting, involving modifying various model simulation logic components to more accurately simulate transmission behavior. Redesigned model components and implemented new algorithms to correlate tools to better reflect vehicle behavior.
