Currently assigned to traffic enforcement at Richmond Station. In this role I am primarily responsible for impaired driving enforcement and traffic collision investigation in the district. As a certified drug recognition expert (DRE), I respond citywide to impaired driving incidents to assist district station personnel as a subject matter expert in the field and to evaluate drivers suspected of drug influence.I received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) California Hero Award in 2016, 2017, and 2019. I am a certified field training officer and basic academy instructor and currently teach basic traffic collision investigation, standardized field sobriety testing, and use of preliminary alcohol screening instruments to both recruit and in-service officers.

Assigned to the REACT Task Force. The REACT Task Force is a regional high-technology and identity theft investigative task force comprised of local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, funded by the State of California and administered by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. REACT is one of five regional task forces funded under the same state grant program.As a REACT Task Force Agent, I investigated incidents of identity theft and high-technology crime, including credit card fraud, bank fraud, network intrusions, computer access violations, and intellectual property crimes. I also performed forensic examinations on a wide range of digital devices and media using industry-accepted tools and methodologies to locate and preserve evidence in a forensically-sound manner suitable for presentation in criminal courts. I successfully employed a wide range of forensic tools, including EnCase, FTK, MacQuisition, Blacklight, and Cellebrite.

The La Honda Fire Brigade is an all-volunteer fire brigade in rural San Mateo County that serves the unincorporated communities of La Honda, San Gregorio, and part of the South Skyline region. Volunteer firefighters respond to the full range of fire and EMS calls for service, including medical emergencies, traffic collisions, structure and wildland fires, rescues, hazardous material incidents, and a variety of calls for public assistance. Maintain personal protective equipment and assist in the maintenance and operation of fire department apparatus and equipment.

I served as the president of the Pacifica Police Officers' Association, the sole employee organization representing Pacifica's police officers and corporals. As president, I coordinate labor negotiations, process grievances, represent members to police management, city administration, and the public.
