I advise clients on a broad range of construction law matters, including disputes, contracts, climate change liability, and industry risk. Co-chair of the Much Construction practice, I have more than 35 years of construction law experience. I am an elected fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and a past president of the Society of Illinois Construction Attorneys.My clients range from worldwide leaders in the construction space to middle-market companies. I work with both domestic and foreign businesses across the full spectrum of industry participants, including owners, contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, manufacturers, developers, and commercial landlords and tenants. I have handled matters involving dozens of building systems and technologies on a variety of project types. My experience spans stadiums and recreational facilities, manufacturing and chemical plants, museums and theaters, power plants and wind farms, and more.I frequently lecture and write on construction and design law topics, including delay and disruption claims, successful mediation and arbitration strategies, emerging delivery system choices, global infrastructure and P3 projects, liability for failure to adapt to climate change, and 3D printing and advanced manufacturing.
