Open Air Pub (OAP) is a large-scale social event put on by a dedicated group of student volunteers from the Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS). It occurs twice annually, and is known as the heart of McGill's social life for the duration of the event, featuring live music, art, a fun, social atmosphere, food, and beverages. The event occurs in the center of the downtown campus, and sees thousands of patrons passing through every day. The proceeds from OAP go to EUS activities throughout the year and to the President's Choice Children's Charity. As an OAP Manager, I am a member of the team responsible for the extensive planning of the event, as well as the operations of the event while it is in progress. This involves contacting numerous external companies and sponsors, working with McGill security, grounds, and staff, and extensive logistical and operational planning. During the event, I am responsible for coordinating event volunteers, ensuring the safety of the patrons, and making sure the operations of the event are running smoothly.
