As an English Communication and Media Studies major at Greensboro College, I’m interested in furthering my experience with video editing and digital media production. As a direct result of a videography class I took, I became fascinated with creating videos to tell a story and create impact. This class led me to seek a position as a Media Assistant in the Global Communications Center at Greensboro College, where I help students create video projects.Additionally, I am a writer for the award winning student newspaper, The Collegian. In this role, not only have I written stories on a variety of campus staff and activities, but I also was the first to develop video podcasts, The Collegian Podcasts, where I am responsible for the camera work, video editing, interviews, and uploading them onto YouTube. As a passionate wrestler and sports communication minor, I enjoy editing sports videos and capturing the excitement of athletic events. This experience, combined with the "Building Your Own Sports Organization" course at Greensboro College, has inspired me to pursue my dream of opening a wrestling club. The course provided valuable insights into managing and planning a sports organization, equipping me with the skills to create a thriving training environment. I am eager to contribute to the sports community both through videography and coaching.
