Played a significant role in driving the vision and visual architecture for the company re-brand, including coining the new name and giving the customer-facing applications and marketing pages a facelift. All are accomplished with accessibility, SEO, and responsive design in mind.Became team front-end SME, mentored juniors, and led efforts towards migrating an internal application from legacy Rails views and React to the latest Ember Octane while making incremental improvements to the UX along the way.Built a custom-branded front-end component library for the company product suite. This included CSS assets in Sass, Haml/HTML, and vanilla Javascript, components in Ember, custom SVG icons, and a ruby gem of standard rails view helpers - all a part of a mono-repo with a fully hosted documented style-guide that included code snippets.Wrote an RFC that led to collaboration with Product, UX, and Marketing to usher in a new automated design hand-off process. This included efforts towards exporting JSON design tokens out of Figma into a cohesive component library powered by native HTML Web Components using StencilJs.Performed routine backend work, including logic that automates pre-qualification, underwriting, and closing decision-making processes, written SQL queries, and handled various APIs for credit reports and internal tools like Slack and JIRA, with rigorous Rspec testing.

Built and maintained five web apps, including two large-scale customer-facing and three internal, accompanied by multiple Rails engines and gems. Managed production code and documentation for company front-end coding standards.Successfully developed and deployed the first company web app, a complex project that launched Medicare campaigns for healthcare professionals. This involved using multiple 3rd-party APIs (including Salesforce) to securely email and fax documents, while providing secure file hosting in the cloud. Worked two-week sprints alongside a Senior Developer and Product Manager to build and maintain a large real-time software solution ensuring all HIPAA standards are met to securely manage private and personal Medicare data between healthcare professionals and their Insurance providers.Drove the UX/UI design for an abstract administrative app that helped track and predict patient care. Helped build and integrate a decoupled Rails 5.1 Engine that provides ETL and Ruby DSL capabilities using Webpack, Vue, JointJs, and Ace Editor. Fashioned unique SVG icons using Sketch 4 and an animated company logo loader. Created and began populating a company-global Vue and Sass library of components to be used across future platforms.Directly collaborated with the call center team and software engineers to independently build an internal call center ruby gem. This gem was capable of integrating with all current and future company web apps, performing outbound calls and tracking via Twilio API with real-time data management, and maintaining flexibility for a variety of workflows. This significantly improved efficiency and reduced dependency on Salesforce.
