As a senior at the Gillings School of Public Health, I am dedicated to exploring the intersection of hard sciences and policy design using analytical tools to build and enhance a more sustainable world. I am driven by a longstanding passion for environmental science, and I've successfully bridged this passion with a diverse range of studies. This interdisciplinary approach has not only broadened my knowledge base but also prepared me for versatile roles in various fields. I thrive on the dynamic nature of solving complex environmental challenges using a multifaceted skill set.I have also engaged with meaningful environmental research outside of the classroom. Early in my college career, I tested the transport properties of various ion exchange membranes with the long-term goal of enhancing our ability to removes PFAS, better known as "forever chemicals" from water sources. As my undergraduate studies come to a close, I am working to complete an Honors Thesis with Dr. Jason West in which I am investigating the processes by which plants uptake ozone and using cutting edge TEMPO satellite data to more accurately map ground-level ozone concentrations across the planet.Beyond academics, I am a three-time National Champion and two-time International Gold Medalist in Ultimate Frisbee. This experience has not only honed my competitive spirit but also reinforced the importance of teamwork, communication, and perseverance—qualities that I bring into both my academic and personal pursuits.I am enthusiastic about leveraging my skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the field of environmental health and explore new avenues where science and technology intersect for a sustainable future.Let's connect and explore how we can collaborate to make a positive impact on our environment! 🌱✨
