He is the father of sixteen-year-old twins and holds multiple advanced degrees from UC Riverside and the University of Liverpool. His varied interests include home rebuilding by hand, organic cooking and gardening, science fiction, and sleep (when available). He has previously been Assistant Director for Testing and ESL at UC Riverside, Coordinator of Basic Skills and tenured Professor of English at Solano College, and Brands Manager/Assistant Winemaker for Hagafen Cellars.
