Power Operations Specialist
Current· Responsible for providing classroom and field training for linemen, substation and telecommunication technicians both internally and externally of my organization in the subject of high voltage switching in transmission substations. Evaluate personnel fieldwork for certification.· Conduct investigations resulting in loss of load, SOP violations and switching incidents. Within these investigations I provide causal factors used to identify work practices that need to be addressed. I also provide corrective actions to help mitigate a potential re-occurrence of the incident.· Contribute to the writing and additions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) that govern how our company operates within the Bulk Electric System.· Assist with planning switching procedures for both small and large projects including structure replacements and mobile substation installations.· Maintain NERC Certified System Operator Certification: Reliability Coordinator
