As an applications engineer at Exlar / Curtiss-Wright I provided pre-sales and post-sales technical support, training, and preliminary engineering for all actuation products. I worked closely with the sales reps, distributors, and customers. I helped explain to them what the products were capable of and how they worked. I dug into the details of applications and, based on numerous factors, calculated which actuator would work best for the lowest price, and approximately how much life it would see. I was generally consulted when the application needed something custom-engineered to solve the problem. I worked closely with the design team, sales channel, and the customer to agree upon the best possible solution.My work was mostly physics-based (with bit of servo control and CAD work as well) and therefore I am very familiar with the workings of both linear and rotary motion. I helped conduct technical product training sessions every quarter for Curtiss-Wright's reps and distributors. I recorded, edited, and produced multiple hardware and software tutorial videos for marketing and training. This helped with distributor self-sufficiency and free'd up some of the support teams time. In fact, I have developed multiple programs and tools to make customer support much faster, and to make my colleagues and I as efficient as possible.I am very familiar with Google, Microsoft, Android, Apple, iOS, MacOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, SERVOsoft, SolidWorks, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Movie Studio, and a global enterprise software called IFS.

Throughout my coaching, training, and refereeing experiences, I have developed a knack for leadership, motivation, scheduling, and team management. I have become more patient, I have developed more of an open mind, I have become very task oriented, and I have discovered the importance of leading by example and earning the respect of those who follow me. I have also learned how to adapt my teaching style to different levels of students/players.

In my customer service/sales experience at Applebee’s, I have developed interpersonal skillsand sales techniques. At Applebee’s they told us: “You’re not a server, you’re a salesman.” With that mindset I’ve learned that getting to know your customers and tailoring your suggestions to their needs is key. Serving also helped develop my habits of constant mental prioritization and my multi-tasking abilities. I’m obsessed with quality and making sure things get done right and on time.

Through my internship at Reliable Resources, I learned the basics of CAD and how to safely, butefficiently place ground rods throughout a building to eliminate all potential dangerous voltages. I also did plenty of client organization and blueprint archiving in excel. Throughout my experience I learned how to remain professional in stressful situations, and communicate with a diverse group of people.
