My academic career has allowed me to understand the importance of dedication, research, and time management. Through these learning experiences, I have recently graduated with a Master's of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Dispute Resolution. From professional experiences, I have learned to work with others, access and address new stimuli in a timely manner and communicate effectively.  These skills relate directly to the position of advisor as people need the attention of their advisor in a meaningful and timely manner. Voluntary experiences have also aided my development in the workforce.  I have learned to work with students of all ages at a teaching capacity and a mentoring capacity.  In addition to these experiences as a horseback riding instructor and Sunday school teacher, I have been privileged to be a trained mediator through Tri- Community Mediation.  These volunteer experiences have created opportunities to assess needs, solve problems, and help others sustainably develop future goals.
