• Successfully designed study to examine the role of a protein, ZFP191, in models of multiple sclerosis, and published a thesis entitled "The role of ZFP191 in oligodendrocyte maturation and myelination"• Mined large RNA-sequencing datasets to identify trends that support new strategies for investigating multiple sclerosis• Disseminated research findings in two manuscripts• Presented findings at several international conferences, including the Society for Neuroscience and the Cell Symposium on Transcriptional Regulation in Development and Disease• Worked collaboratively with 3 graduate students, 5 postdoctoral researchers, and 4 technicians at 3 leading academic institutions• Developed new RNA-sequencing methods now used by peer scientists to discover novel targets for multiple sclerosis studiesTeaching Assistant, January 2011-March 2013• Led weekly discussions and judged presentations for a class of 18 students• Coordinated 93 faculty speakers and facilitated dialog for a class of 62 students
