My research focused on the development of a new model, protein–free spliceosome. Additionally, I collaborated with graduate students in studying RNA folding under physiological ionic/crowding conditions, and supervised an undergraduate developing thermodynamic parameters for predicting RNA stabilities in-vivo.

My research project was focused on long-range communication in proteins as expressed in dynamic responses and energetic couplings. I used NMR techniques to monitor the perturbation in sidechain motions upon mutation and used hydrogen exchange (HX) to measure non-additivity in double mutant cycles.

The research project focused on the various kinetic and equilibrium folding pathways of structurally homologous and mutant proteins of the lipid-binding protein family.
