I'm assisting the leadership of the organization to understand opportunities and impacts for optimising their IT spend. Utilizing analytics I'll help them formulate a social media and marketing strategy to help grow their audience.

I developed North Highland's global go-to-market approach for Agile Transformation, the perspective, and approach to scaling and agile delivery. The pragmatic and effective approach to transformation attracted experienced coaches and agile practitioners to the firm, which allowed us to grow from less than $.5M to over $20M in revenue within two years. I developed the job descriptions, career paths, and overall structure of the agile transformation offering, growing leaders from within to develop and build on the approach I authored. Together, we created a community of Enterprise & Team coaches, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners that made an impact every day for our clients. Together, we created maturity models for specific roles and teams, as well as an approach to demonstrating the value provided by agile coaching in a transformation.

As an agile coach working in agile transformations, I have worked in all of the roles required for an agile implementation. Coaching Product Ownership, scrum masters, dev managers, and the team on how to implement agile methods, how to determine which methods are a fit, all the way to the basics of how to write a user story. A lot of the implementation of agile methods is looking at the same problem from a different perspective, and then determining a new way of solving that issue.

I took ownership of the Financial Services client's enterprise IBM BPM platform to guide in-flight projects, manage daily operations, provide guidance on the platform topology and growth plans, and also review and estimate the needs of additional projects/programs on-boarding to the platform. Working within one of the existing programs as a scrum coach, I developed and delivered custom training for scrum and how teams should scale, as well as recommendations for organizational alignment to the scrum framework. For the business process and development teams I created and delivered training for business process discovery and documentation using IBM Blueworks Live.

I joined the client organization to assist them with the implementation of enterprise release management practices; in addition I took on the role of scrum master for the team delivering a custom .Net solution. I trained existing teams on how to implement scrum, as well as consulting within the organization to assist others with their scrum practices. I established the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes used in MS Team Foundation Server to create processes that best adhered to the needs of the organization and team.

Worked with product management and design to develop plans for product delivery and guiding the development teams in delivering on the shared vision. Ensured that the product team is conforming to the processes and milestones required to support IBM’s internal processes. Led programs and projects ranging in budget from $300k to over $4M to implement Business Process Management solutions that will enable them to improve process efficiency as well as create visible & readily available metrics of the team and the process.

I worked with business leaders in Target Marketing and Target.com to understand operational pains, develop business cases to fund, process to resolve the pains, and then implement appropriate solutions. I helped establish and develop the Marketing Development team at Target India into a high performing scrum team.

Evaluated all IT applications in the client portfolio and integrated or upgraded as necessary to ensure they were on the best possible platform. Carried out broader IT initiatives for the local St Louis facilities and implemented custom solutions where necessary to ensure the business groups performed at their peak.
