I am a recent graduate with a bachelor's in Cybersecurity. My interest in programming came through my first coding course in high school. The challenge of solving a problem and creating a solution through Java was a turning point in what I wanted to do for work. I specialized in cybersecurity in college due to my desire to focus on securing applications, whether they be small scripts or large programs. I came to Revature wanting to learn the full practical process of creating programs. My time at Revature has developed my ability to create applications. Using Java to create the driver program for the backend service. Utilizing PostgresDB for the persistence of data allowed for programs to not just be simple scripts. HTML, CCS, and JavaScript were employed to help create the front end on a basic level. Angular was used to help streamline the process of creating a front end by producing components that can be reusable within the program. Overall, Revature has enabled me to develop full-stack programs that can be used in practical situations.
