I develop a lot of commercial real estate, but some of the most important things that I have built over the years have been relationships. Between the tenants that make up our client base and the communities we help them serve, these lasting relationships make my work so much more impactful. When I started SimonCRE in 2010, I had little savings to my name, during some of the roughest economic conditions to be creating a new company. My skills as a relationship builder were immediately put to the test. The main strength I had was my ability to build the trust of tenants in us as their preferred developer. With this trust, they could see my vision of what we could accomplish together.We have gone on to complete over 260 projects across 22 states, equaling a total value of more than $700 million. Our team is currently working hard to deliver Village at Prasada in Surprise, Arizona. At more than 700,000 square feet, it is the largest retail power center to be built on the west coast in more than a decade. Looking to the future, we currently have over 30 projects, totaling more than $400 million in construction planned for 2023. Outside of work, I sit on the ICSC Board of Trustees, act as the YPO Real Estate Industry Retail Chair, participate in the ICSC Foundation’s Launch Academy, and sit on the board of ASU’s Next Generation Council. I also partner with non-profits like OneTable and the Freedom Warriors project.
