As Head of Security & IT at Postman, I led a comprehensive security and IT program for a rapidly growing 750-person SaaS/API development platform company. Reporting directly to the CTO/Cofounder and then the Head of Engineering, I successfully scaled our security and IT organization from a flat 13 person org to nearly 40 team members organized into key functional areas such as Security Assurance, Security Engineering, Security Detection & Response, Program Management, and IT Operations all while maintaining lower attrition rates than the broader organization. Under my leadership, teams achieved multiple successful SOC 2 audits, Microsoft SSPA audits, and played a pivotal role in the sales motion by ensuring customer security inquiries, questionnaires, and requirements were met. Formed a dedicated security unit that delivered key product security features including Token Scanner and Postman Vault.In addition, my teams implemented a modern corporate security infrastructure and established a high-performing service desk and IT procurement function that optimized asset acquisition, improved tooling, and enhanced employee lifecycle management.

As the first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Realtor.com (a News Corp subsidiary), I established and led the company's first comprehensive information security program. Starting as Security Architect in 2007 and advancing through progressive leadership roles to CISO, I built the security organization from the ground up, growing it to a high-performing team of 10 security professionals with exceptional retention - only one team member departure in 8 years.Under my leadership, teams developed and implemented pioneering security architectures and automation, including an innovative AWS security framework that enabled engineering velocity while maintaining robust security controls - a model subsequently adopted by other News Corp business units. My teams created a sophisticated security tooling ecosystem that efficiently processed thousands of vulnerabilities with a 15% false positive rate, significantly improving remediation efficiency and reducing security risks.I structured the security program around key functional areas including security engineering, product security, security intelligence and response, and governance, implementing modern security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
