Joshua Logan Shunk, aged 19 and based in Gilbert, is an undergraduate student of Computer Science at Stanford University. He completed his high school education as the valedictorian of Perry High School, achieving an exceptional GPA of 4.87. Joshua's contributions to computer science are both innovative and impactful. At the Regeneron Science Talent Search, he was recognized for developing an advanced AI algorithm to differentiate between COVID-19 and pneumonia based on chest X-rays. Furthermore, he developed "neuron-specific dropout", a notable publication on ArXiv.Beyond his academic and research achievements, Joshua has demonstrated exemplary leadership in various extracurricular endeavors.
