-Developed full electro-mechanical subsystems from concept to production using SolidWorks for CAD modeling and 2D drawings, utilizing 3D printers to test functionality and iterate through prototype stages.-Created a 100+ part BOM and coordinated closely with Asian manufacturing partners and industrial design teams. -Invented a novel parking brake mechanism, suspension, and energy generator for a power-folding baby stroller to meet complex marketing requirements, volume limitations, and manufacturing/assembly (DFMA) needs. -Designed 50+ injection molded components requiring surfacing CAD, moldabilty reviews, and material selection.-Successfully improved safety critical stroller and car seat components using finite element analysis (FEA), correlating reported results with physical testing and modeled improvements for stress reductions/risk mitigation. -Created components utilizing casting, stamping, and extrusion manufacturing methods.-Constructed prototypes for strict standards testing, documenting results and incorporating improvements. -Made mathematical models allowing alteration of key product design variables through agile development.-Performed tolerance analysis for fit and function of critical components.

-Developed and constructed a prototype of "KitchenBot", a large multi-degree wall-mounted track system to improve a commercial robotic arm's ability to aid disabled individuals with meal preparation. -Constructed a smart “Cueing” kitchen by using Arduino based systems for sensing and cueing; improved control of appliances, monitoring of power consumption, water temperature/flow, presence, and cabinet doors. -Led an interdisciplinary team to design an aesthetically pleasing system of wireless LED illuminating handles; finalist in the M.G. Wells Entrepreneurship Competition for "Cueing Handle" and "RhoBite".

-Collaborated with an electrical engineer to design control hardware and programmed autonomous operation of a multi faucet system used to simulate normal usage and bacteria growth. -Constructed, tested, and initiated fluid system at the University of Pittsburgh Applied Research Center (UPARC).

-Designed simple end-effectors for Kawasaki manipulator and pallet fixtures to reduce production downtime.-Organized a large document database for glass cutting robot setup and changeover procedures, yielding less down time and greater repeatability

-Researched alternatives for interconnect technology for prototype Maya Interstacks modules; two alternatives were prototyped and are being evaluated for usability.-Created fixture to support volume construction of prototype wall-mounting parts; required several rounds of design/prototyping to achieve required repeatability.-Attended phase and team meetings for ideation and refinement of design alternatives; sketched ideas for further evaluation.

-Specialized in technical balloon setup for pre/post launch.-Trained over 10 hours for "lighter-than-air" private pilots license, completed solo flight.
