It can be challenging to set up a wide variety of K- 12 CTE programs that lead kids to high-demand high-wage jobs in a region. My goal is to work with schools and develop solutions that expand their CTE offerings. These solutions can include but are not limited to:- Creating regional partnerships aimed at solving workforce shortages. - Developing and instructing teachers, admin, and counselors about best practices in CTE education. - Collaborating with Region 13's design team to create high-quality online classes, websites, etc.- Providing distance instruction for CTE classes when it isn't feasible to hire a full-time teacher. - Writing grants to fund planning, project management, equipment purchases, and construction. - Producing and selling high-quality CTE project-based curriculum.- Managing Region 13's mobile laboratory program.

There is a significant demand for Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers around the state. My role was to train and coach all CTE teachers during their first year of teaching. My duties included:- Providing direct instruction to new CTE teachers via in-person and distance learning classes. - Writing online courses and managing several learning management platforms. - Evaluating and coaching teachers in the classroom. - Coordinating with administrators across the state about the hiring and development of teachers.- Presenting to state-wide audiences at conferences and training sessions.
