I give business owners clarity in their finances by providing bookkeeping services and monthly reviews so that they can have peace of mind and the freedom to focus on their long-term vision.I’ve spent most of my career doing sales/marketing for small businesses and serving/bartending in the restaurant industry. During college, I changed my focus to business because I wanted to start a craft brewery. That dream eventually went away and after I graduated from Goshen College with my business degree, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life. I knew that I wanted to start my own business some day, but I didn’t have any direction or experience.I started working for Janus Motorcycles as a sales and marketing representative. It was a very small operation (at the time) in a highly competitive industry. In addition to learning sales and social media marketing, I learned the intricacies of a small manufacturing startup.Over the years I’ve also worked for a marketing agency, a scrapbooking supplies manufacturer, real estate investing firm, and various restaurants as a server. Through my various roles, I learned that even if I wasn’t passionate about the job or industry I was in, I could take pride in the work I was doing. I love helping others and am passionate about providing exceptional customer service.I also love thinking about and working with numbers. I decided that I could pursue my own dreams and help others by starting a bookkeeping business. I’ve seen how hard it could be for business owners to juggle every aspect of the business in addition to their personal lives. I’ve also seen how financial mentorship can help a bootstrapped business grow into a thriving business. Over the last couple of years, I’ve spent my free time learning and getting certified as a bookkeeper. I invested in Bookkeeper Launch and earned my Associate Digital Bookkeeper certification.I believe that small businesses are the foundation of the American dream. I grew up with parents that ran (and still run) a small plumbing and heating business in rural Iowa.
