Jouke van der Schors is Managing Director of Vijverberg. Jouke has extensive experience of project management and dispute resolution for complex international construction projects. Jouke supports clients and contractors as expert witness in constuction delay and in negotiating contracts and claims in a variety of sectors including real estate, power, oil & gas, offshore, and pharmaceutical. Construction Delay Expert Witness (Getuige deskundige) Jouke van der Schors is a registred Dutch court expert (LRGD). He has extensive experience of major international disputes, and has acted for contractors as well as for asset owners in Europe and the Middle East. He has been appointed Delay Expert Witness in various cases including: real estate development, power plant construction, pipeline construction, shipbuilding (UNUM), offshore construction, and pharmaceutical projects. He has testified in international arbitration. Vijverberg is an independent project management company for complex construction projects.Together with our clients we create successful project management teams. The Vijverberg approach is based on deployment of dedicated teams of specialists and the use of in-house developed methods.Since 1991, Vijverberg is involved in drafting expert witness reports, and facilitating settlement negotiations, or representing clients in arbitration and litigation. Our approach is founded on formulating an independent expert opinion based on evidence from site records of construction projects combined with internationally accepted delay analyses methods.Jouke is a member of the Construction Committee of the Dutch Arbitration Association (DAA); Chairman of the Special Interest Group on Contracts Management of the Dutch Association of Cost Engineers (DACE); Member of the editorial board of the Guideline on Delay and Disruption in construction (the Dutch Protocol) of the Institute for Construction Law (IBR); Co-author of the book “Construction Contract Analysis, a practical approach”; Contributor to the judicial pre-advice “Legal aspects of concurrent delay and inefficiency in construction”.
