Core Banking - Loans and Leasing (2 years): As a Feature Analyst in the Finacle Core Banking team for Loans and Leasing my primary responsibility was to roll out the new Vehicle and Asset Finance solution in Africa making use of the Finacle Leasing module. I was key in specifying the migration requirements for the data migration from the current legacy system as well as solutioning of the system. As secondary, I had the responsibility of assisting the various Africa countries in logging their configuration and change requests as well as documenting, solutioning and having them build. Bancassurance (Short Term and Long Term Insurance in Africa):As Feature Analyst in the Bancassurance Africa team I was assigned to implement the 3rd party system in Africa Regions. In my time in the team we implemented Lesotho, Ghana, Uganda and Malawi. Key activities were the data migration from the legacy system, implementing file movements between Finacle Core Banking and the new system.

PAS (Personal Application Scoring): Business Analyst in the team responsible for ensuring change requests as well as continues rollout over Africa takes place and is supported. Key country implementation were Namibia and Uganda with testing conducted in Ghana, Botswana and Swaziland. With the added functionality of the PAS system live countries now having the capability of scoring personal clients making use of various sources including, but not limited to, bureau records, written off information, demographic information and client supplied information. Important part of daily activities was to understand and manage the integration of PAS into the Africa Core Banking solution (Infosys’ Finacle Core Banking, Loan Originations System (LOS) and CRM), which involved analysing of integration logs and web interfaces. Through my time in the project key experience was also developed in the mapping and understanding of bureau operating in the above mentioned African countries. CRB (Credit Regulatory Bureau)Business Analyst in the project team responsible for the successful implementation of the CRB system with the goal of fulfilling the regulatory requirements for African countries in reporting of client related loan information to the various bureaus monthly. Key deliverables were driven around mapping of various data sources and matching these to the requirements as supplied by the bureaus represented in the CPA

I moved internally in Standard Bank to Enterprise Architecture and Strategy. Currently, fulfilling the Development role on a pilot exercise in the Bank and in the process of fulfilling the Process Owner role and System Administrator and Repository Owner role for the pilot exercise. As a quick solution I had to assist in the design of the SQL Server database. We afterwards made use of Iron Speed developer to quickly generate a solution from where I could make modification to meet our needs.

Worked in Credit Risk: Work Request on small projects of around R500 000 as the Business Analyst. Worked on two Work Requests that went live and numerous Small Enhancements (+- R20 000)

I had to handle student queries and offer assistance in the form of consultation. Practical classes had to be presented on a weekly basis (this included setting the slides, presenting the class, giving the exercise and coordinating the marking). The Teaching Assistance directly reported to me and I was in charge in assigning them work hours and marking. Finally, I had to assist the Course Coordinator in any other subject related tasks

I had to assist with the marking of practicals and other exercises through the course of the semester.
