My coding journey has taken from electronics, through application development, to infrastructure and cloud based service design.Currently I design, deploy and manage high volume APIs, websites and mobile application back-end services. The majority of these services are in the demanding Rail industry, followed by Education and public sector work.As a full-stack developer, I engage in projects on various levels from OS level DevOps to front-end development and project management. This range of skills in both technology and communication have allowed me to move fluidly between different roles, which has proved essential for both my team and company.I am also a Designer/Maker and am well versed in many forms of digital manufacturing form Rapid Prototyping to Circuit Board manufacture. I teach and lead workshops in electronics and programming for kids and adults and have helped set up a FabLab and Hackspace in Cornwall. I do still attend various hackerthon events and am a strong advocate of OpenSource and Citizen Science.I strongly believe all tech companies should have a very defined agenda when it comes to: inclusivity; the environment; and the application of AI.I am always interested in new projects and ideas and am very happy to provide impartial advice.
