Develops business documents (grants, procedures, web content, articles, newsletters, promotional materials, scripts etc.). She started working remotely in 2018 while caring for a family member. Today she works by contract for primarily nonprofits and small businesses. She is also a gifted Playwright.

Made it easier to resolve security issues by preserving and promoting Federal Election Commission (FEC) IT security documentation standards with the most up-to-date information.  Developed and updated security documentation in keeping with Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 (FISMA) and Privacy Act. Reviewed Legislation, Executive Orders, OMB documents, Agency Directives and other Federal regulatory mandates (e.g., NIST) to identify potential impacts and to make recommendations for policy/guidance changes.

Closed outstanding audit findings and prevented future findings by updating and developing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) IT system security policy to protect DHS information systems and data.  Ensured compliance with DHS Policy Directive 4300A, FISMA and other regulatory mandates.  Kept DHS user community current on DHS security policy by producing program materials (presentations, user takeaways and online broadcasts) for monthly IT Transformation Cyber Security Awareness Program.

Managed Personnel Security Program Area across HP’s Homeland Security and Justice Portfolio for DHS and Department of Justice (DOJ) customer accounts.  Captured monthly metrics and statistics to track and monitor compliance with account staffing and onboarding procedures.  Informed upper level management of Area accomplishments and issues via weekly and monthly Program Management Review (PMR) briefings.  Met weekly with Contracting Officer (COTR) to ensure contract requirements were met, especially new initiatives and program area changes.  Spearheaded proposal and white paper development in conjunction with Program Management Office (PMO).
