Operational management of ZSL London Zoo's experiences portfolio, managing and training up to 30 staff depending on the season, work with external facilitators to operate certain experiences, and working closely with the animal teams to create and manage content for all experience, whilst ensuring high standards of animal welfare.In December 2019, the overnight experience ZSL London Zoo Lodges won a Family Traveller Excellence Award in the category 'Learning and Enrichment'.In March 2020, I put forth the overnight experience London Zoo Lodges for an award from London Tourism & Partner's Awards 2020, which won London's Experience of the Year. In August 2020, it also won Bronze in Visit Britain's Experience of the Year 2020.The London Zoo Lodges' TripAdvisor page has received a Certificate of Excellence for both 2019-2020 when I managed this experience.

This involves engaging guests with animal talks and the conservation mission of ZSL and providing them with animal encounters where guests are able to feed and provide enrichment for a number of nocturnal animals.

Projects included:- Taking volunteers to monitor the elver recruitment of the European Eel (Anguilla Anguilla) in the River Roding, a tributary of the River Thames and providing the eels with a manually constructed ladder access over the weir during the season. - Undertaking larval and juvenile fish biodiversity assessment of the Thames for Thames Tideway.- Conducting aerial and boat population surveys of Harbour Seals (Phoca vitulina) and Grey Seals (Halichoerus grypus) in the outer Thames estuary.

Volunteer fieldwork assistant for two PhD students working as part of the Green and Golden Bell Frog Conservation Research team at the University of Newcastle.Work involved conducting capture-mark-recapture population studies of the frogs within a team of 2-6 researchers and assistants out in the field. I would help out in the field 2-4 nights per week year-round dependent on the season.Practically, this included capturing frogs, reading microchips, taking DNA swabs, and recording basic data such as weight, length, gender, and gravidity.

Casual Zookeeper, working in a small team of 3-6 zookeepers in caring for captive (mostly native Australian) animals. Tasks included training new volunteers, running feed shows, feeding animals, cleaning enclosures, providing keeper talks, ensuring animal enrichment, providing basic animal health care, and running animal displays around the Newcastle region.
