Made significant advances to educate the general public about the Marcellus Shale industry and to help oil and gas companies comply with an ever-changing regulatory environment. These accomplishments include:• Developed and implemented a statewide education campaign to heighten awareness of the economic benefits of responsible shale development to local communities across Pennsylvania, which resulted in significant media coverage and increased knowledge of the Act 13 Impact Fee. • Led efforts to ensure MSC Producer companies understood and complied with Act 13, Section 2316 for Small Diverse Business participation. Coordinated efforts to familiarize the PA Department of General Services with the intricacies associated with procurement and contracting of producer companies. • Conducted analyses and developed policy options, messages, correspondence, formal comments to government agencies, and advocacy support materials regarding oil and gas development in Pennsylvania.• Helped the oil and gas industry engage with local suppliers by developing and managing “Marcellus on Main Street” the first website designed exclusively to connect with small and diverse business and community resources in the Appalachian Basin. She was solely responsible for leading industry efforts to create awareness around a strong local and diverse supply chain.

Administered the Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance Program (LUPTAP) for 66 active projects equaling $1,375,914 in grant awards for 24 counties. Duties included contract compliance, research on policy decisions affecting the function of local government entities in Pennsylvania, and assisting local governments to plan and implement economic and community development activities. Developed and conducted educational programs and strategic visioning exercises for municipal officials and staff. Projects included intergovernmental partnerships and public and private ventures. Successful outcomes of technical assistance included leveraging $1,145,000 in state grants andlegislative funding to implement revitalization efforts in the City of Monongahela.

Led municipal planning activities for private civil engineering company and improveddepartmental productivity by 30% while managing efforts of four staff planners.Responsible for positioning the department to conduct public involvement activities forCivil Engineering projects. Responsible for activities that resulted in successful bidawards with PennDOT and other agencies. Grant writing efforts totaling $360K of municipaldollars to leverage $400K in state funding in 2006.
