About Joy Othoo

I am attending North Carolina State University as an Agroecology and Community Food Systems major with a concentration in Urban Horticulture. I am in my third year now.In my first year of college, I strengthened my communication and customer service skills through agricultural, leadership, and retail sales work within several groups and organizations on campus (such as Campus Enterprises, Inter-Residence Council, and the Horticulture Competition Team). In my second year, I continued to develop my skills and expand my network by working for Campus Enterprises again and contributing to the Horticulture Competition Team for a second year. I also sought new opportunities and broadened my involvement by joining the CALS Ambassador program in Spring 2024.As I progress through my degree plan, I continue to grow my work experience (retail, research, etc.) and achieve my dreams of working in urban plant cultivation, extension, and public education.
