I am interested in becoming an active part of an eduational system where my leadership, knowledge and skill set can be best utlilized to improve or continue the development of quality teaching and learning experiences for both students and staff. An educator needs not only to be knowledgeable but must also possess the ability to listen, learn, and understand the students, the parents and the community they serve. I am always willing to work in unison with others to seek what is best. I hold myself accountable and hold others accountable as well. The educational field today is full of innovative practices, programs, technology and solutions to improve a school or district. The key to knowing which solutions to implement lies in what the data is saying.What particular strengths I would bring to the district?I am a consummate team player with what my supervisors have described as an exemplary work ethic. I have the ability to take the seed of an idea and work with others in such a manner that it blossoms into something extraordinary. I have set high expectations for myself and those with whom I work. I’m a person of integrity and character, and thereby have served as a role model for others. I am a proactive problem solver who endeavors to be an agent of change. As such, I am viewed by my colleagues as an advocate and supporter of those endeavors that will support what’s best for students. I have never lost sight that the work of central office has tremendous implications for the achievement and success of students; therefore, the question that I ask myself at points of decision is whether or not this action is good for students.
