Police Lieutenant/Commander over the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator/Community Engagement Liaison/ABLE Instructors: As the Commander of the Community Engagement Bureau and a member of the command staff, I oversee the operations of the Georgetown University Police Department’s (GUPD) support and special services patrol. I am responsible for managing special events, student guards, and contract security functions, as well as researching, designing, and implementing training and certification criteria for both sworn and non-sworn personnel. In this capacity, I supervise security and public safety personnel, enforce departmental rules and regulations, and initiate disciplinary action when necessary. A key aspect of my role involves maintaining liaison with groups planning demonstrations on university property that may be of concern or special interest to the department or the university community.Additionally, I execute senior leadership responsibilities, which include coordinating VIP visits to campus, scheduling officers for special events, and ensuring timely billing for services. I manage the Student Guard Manager and oversee the operations of the Student Guard program, while also supervising all operational aspects of the Contract Guard Service and serving as the primary liaison with its management. My role also involves conducting performance evaluations, periodic inspections of patrol officers, vehicles, and patrol work areas to ensure efficiency, and leading personnel investigations within my purview.These responsibilities highlight my strategic leadership abilities and comprehensive oversight within campus law enforcement and public safety, particularly in areas such as community policing, communication, criminal intelligence, analytical skills, and operations management.

As a Police Sergeant, Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, Community Engagement Liaison, Instructor, and Crisis Intervention Specialist, I enforced Georgetown University policies while overseeing officers patrolling the campus and surrounding areas. These patrols, conducted both on foot and by vehicle, were aimed at deterring and apprehending individuals involved in criminal or unlawful activities within the District of Columbia. I also served as a panelist on the Georgetown GAAP Campus Resource Panel. As the leader of the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), I worked closely with community partners to develop and deliver comprehensive training for the team, ensuring best practices were followed to support victims of sexual assault and provide effective, compassionate care.I was responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 officers per shift, along with security staff and event personnel, to maintain the safety of students, faculty, and community members. Additionally, I delivered crime prevention training and facilitated active shooter drills, preparing the community for emergency situations. Police Corporal/Evidence Specialist/Crisis Intervention Team/Security Details:As a Police Corporal, Evidence Specialist, and Crisis Intervention Team member with experience in security details, I enforced airport regulations within the Airport Operations Area (AOA) by issuing infraction tickets. I reported violations involving unauthorized entry from the non-secured to the secured areas of the airport. In addition, I issued traffic and parking citations on airport property, Adjacent highways and toll roads, ensuring compliance with state and local traffic laws. My duties also included inspecting airport employee badges and tenant vehicle permits.I utilized specialized software to create concise and detailed reports on suspicious activities, police services, and crime-related incidents to aid in investigations, intelligence gathering, and case management. I followed best practices to support airline security programs and passenger screening, as well as managed preliminary investigations of law violations, which included making arrests to ensure the overall safety of the airport.In addition to these responsibilities, I developed and presented a Fundamental Leadership (Pilot) Program for new police recruits, utilizing PowerPoint to deliver the content effectively. I adhered strictly to legal standards when collecting crime scene evidence to establish probable cause.Furthermore, I collaborated with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) to support deportation procedures in line with immigration laws. My role required working cooperatively with various government agencies across the DC Metro region, including assisting with search warrants and other collaborative efforts to ensure comprehensive security.
