- Maintain all state and federal program licenses- Assist with corporate governance and corporate secretary matters (i.e. entity formation, dissolution of entities, preparation of annual reports, drafting transfer documents, federal trademark registrations, minute book management for Company and all subsidiaries).- Assist with regulatory matters identified by hospital personnel, including those involving Medicare, Medicaid (in- and out-of-state), the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) and National Provider Identifier (NPI), facility licensure, permits and certification. - Act as contract administrator for Steward’s customized contract management system, including maintaining, organizing and tracking (in the database) all contracts across multiple markets- Assist corporate, market and hospital administration with reporting requests generated from the contract management system.- Maintain database of contract templates.- Assist with file review for and coordination of due diligence projects; collect and organize due diligence documents; upload and organize documents in virtual data room (VDR).- Act as liaison between and among the Legal Department, Corporate personnel, physicians and hospital administration. - Receive notification of U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims and hospital/employee litigation matters; report matters to Employment Practice Liability (EPL) Insurance and appropriate parties; calendar deadlines; and draft appropriate response to such claims.- Support the General Counsel, the Associate General Counsel, Operations Counsel and other members of the Legal Department with projects, initiatives and other matters, as needed.
