Casting Tools Development Engineer
Current- Support on part’s design development according to High Pressure DieCast - HPDC requirements and costs reduction;- Draft for casting layout; Machine selection; Runners and vents calculation and design;- Flow simulations analysis and design changes to achieve tool and process top level performances;- HPDC die and trimming tool definition and Tool Specifications (selection of steel; heat and surface treatments; accessories);- Tool design and production followup close to tool supplier; - Tool conformity assessment after trials and geometrical and mechanical corrections definition leading to tool approval;- HPDC dies and trimming tools suppliers development and benchmark processes in order to cost reduction and maximum level of standardization;- Existing tools continuous improvement in order to increase lifetime expectancy ensuring product quality satisfaction;- Tool change management after part’s design change requirement by client;- Preventive and corrective tool maintenance evaluation and definition;- Tool failure mode analysis responsible and 8D analysis team member;
