Work was mainly conducted on two projects. The first is an EU-funded project with 12 different partners called CARDIOCARE, where I act as the primary point of contact for Philips requiring lots of stakeholder management. I furthermore led the design and implementation of the electronic case report forms while also participating in discussions on e.g. the overall data platform and data harmonization. Secondly, there is exploratory research done on the applicability of knowledge graphs in a clinical context which led to two ID submissions.

At Achmea Bank the main project I was involved in was the sophistication of their transaction monitoring approach to aid in fraud detection. To facilitate this, different forms of data driven checks needed to be developed and automatically applied on the data. As transaction monitoring impacts many facets of a bank, stakeholder alignment with other departments such as Compliance and Operations was paramount to ensure changes had a positive impact on the organization.

The data traineeship at Yacht serves as a nice introduction for a starter to gain experience on the labor market. A lot of attention is given towards personal development to make sure that both technical and personal skills are developed over the course of this traineeship. As such, upon finishing the traineeship I have gained the expertisen necessary to be a valuable asset to a large number of employers which may have need of my services.

The work at Philips involves, among other things, creating a data transformation pipeline for medical and clinical information so that they may be processed for other applications that increase the ease and satisfaction of practioners. As such data needs to be cleaned, interpreted and annotated so that the enriched information can be utilised for obtaining insights.

Work as a business analyst at JDE has given me intuition on how a large business can manage its data, and what applications are usually given higher or lower priority based on business impact. Tasks which were undertaken included validating data, creating and maintaining scrips used for analyses, providing documentation on standardized products and handling data related incidents in an ad-hoc manner.
