Managing a team of 24 dedicated sustainability professionals to oversee sustainability for a 40 million+ SQFT global commercial real estate portfolio, operated as a collaboration between JLL and one of the world's largest tech companies. Together, we are responsible for designing and deploying water, waste, and carbon solutions; managing utility spend; and procuring climate tech products and services.

Driven by a proprietary risk analysis data engine, Unety was a SaaS-enabled marketplace that embedded funding origination tools and advanced financial acumen into the workflow of ESG professionals, connecting them to sustainable finance investors and helping them to plan decarbonization projects.Unety supported the deployment of over US$176 million into under-represented communities across the country, enabling over 330 green buildings projects, ranging from renewable energy for affordable housing to energy efficiency for houses of worship.Credit for our successes - from VC fundraising and team building to sales/marketing and product development - is shared amongst all those involved. We were a small team and shared all hats.

Designed and developed the business model, alpha product, and go-to-market plan for a climate risk analytics venture serving real estate owners which was featured at SXSW; originated the partnership with First Street that secured the enabling technology. Shepherded a rigorous and multi-phase acquisition due diligence on Unety, building an investor portal, supporting code review, and leading numerous business case presentations to AmFam’s leadership; process ended with Tenney 110’s shutdown.

Dedicated to HASI’s national portfolio of commercial real estate-related assets, I led the origination of investments throughout the capital stack, ranging from preferred venture equity to senior secured credit, and oversaw structuring, underwriting, and strategic partnerships, including with Connecticut Green Bank, for a US$85 million credit fund.
