Head of Debt Capital Markets and Advisory Chile-Responsible of leading the team in charge of advising and executing all types of transactions related to the debt capital markets in Chile. -Leads a team of 1 VP and 2 analysts -Responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of local bonds for Chilean issuers, and Project Bonds for the (re)financing of Chilean Infrastructure assets. Experience with deals from the largest corporates in Chile and the financing of toll highways, hospitals and power project financing, among others -Together with the DCM Latam team, responsible for the origination and execution of International bonds (USD, Eur) for Chilean issuers (Corporates, Quasi sovereigns, Projects) -Together with the Global Rating Advisory and ESG Advisory teams, responsible of implementing those practices in Chile, in aspects such as rating positioning, transition and strategy, ESG strategy and framework implementation and ESG issuances, among others-From August 2019 to date, Santander DCM Chile remains as a top DCM house for local and international bonds for Chilean issuers. Santander DCM Chile ended 2022 at the 2nd position in the local League Table , and since 2019, it has been among the Top 3 players. Also, it remains Top 3 for international bonds

-In charge of implementing and developing the "Debt Advisory" global practice in Chile. Main goal of the practice is to drive a strategic financing dialogue with clients on topics such as credit rating transitions, debt capacity and capital structure

-Designed and coordinated the tender process to provide electronic payment services to the Riyadh Public Transport Project. My responsibilities included to lead the analysis of the local regulation, to open and maintain the relationship with the most important local banks and the Central Bank, and to design, to launch and to evaluate the RFI and the RFP-Designed and implemented a project of selling a real estate portfolio to institutional investors. The project included the coordination of several divisions of the bank, the selection of the assets and the preparation of the offer to investors. Total valuation of the portfolio reached Eur 400 million-Implantation of the Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism project at a top financial institution in Spain. Participated and coordinated several activities under the project, which covered several Departments of the Bank

Analyzed local and global macroeconomics conditions and formulated economic scenarios and strategies focused in the fixed income markets.Forecasted macroeconomic variables and market trends in FI assets, being recognized as valuable advisor by both internal and external clients. Spokesman in economics and financial markets topics.Instituted a new organizational structure to better address business challenges for the Global Banking division.Supported commercial efforts of sales teams by doing roadshows, presentations and direct contact with clients, recognized as an important factor for achieving the budget of the Markets area of $80m.Member of the Markets Committee, which supervised the trading positions of the Treasury, presided by the vice chairman of the Board.

Provided economic analysis and forecasts of macroeconomic variables. Mainly collaborated with Global Banking, ALM and Risk control division of the Bank. Prepared reports and presentations for internal and external clients.Mentored and trained two junior analysts. Both of them with successful careers.Participated in several commercial activities with clients, including being a speaker at the Santander Global conference.Member of the Investment committee of the private banking division. Suggested asset allocations in several financial instruments.

Created the Strategy committee for the Market Making area. Integrated economic analysis with trader’s views. The initiative was successful and its trade ideas were distributed among sales areas, with good reception from clients.Published analysis about Chile’s macroeconomics distributed by global hubs.Collaborated with all Investment Banking areas, by presenting to clients and by providing economic fundamentals to pitch books.Supervised a one junior analyst.

Enhanced the scope and relevance of the Economics Area, as part of a team, by creating new products and analysis. As a result, the team were invited to participate in several senior management and Board committees.Collaborated closely with Equity Research. Created a valuation model for a mining company.Guided summer interns in the Research Area.

Taught the Final Thesis course, section of Economics&Finance. Guided seven thesis related to financial markets.
