I am a seasoned, senior product engineer who is passionate about holistic design. The boundary of brand isnt creative departments and wordmarks. Its influence extends into the code we write. Software, when it's at its best, is an expression of a brand and the relationship a company hopes to build with its users. It should be a note in the harmony of design languages and business strategy.My time working with large-scale, high-traffic web projects has impressed on me the value of working broadly across teams. Teaching quality as a baseline has grown those I've been fortunate enough to lead and mentor. Learning the disciplines adjacent to my own roles has allowed me to be more creative and empathetic.I believe site performance is a feature, that sustainable code bases are an investment in the future, and that simple solutions are better than technologist architectures.I thrive in the space between the lines of code.
