CurrentLead a team of 60 people to achieve the AHRC New York City mission of finding ways for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build full lives as defined by each person.Responsible for achieving all financial goals and expectations set by the agency for the Brooklyn unit.Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to find gainful employment for an average of 100 people per year.Mentor and develop staff to empower them to contribute to… Show more Lead a team of 60 people to achieve the AHRC New York City mission of finding ways for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build full lives as defined by each person.Responsible for achieving all financial goals and expectations set by the agency for the Brooklyn unit.Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to find gainful employment for an average of 100 people per year.Mentor and develop staff to empower them to contribute to their fullest potential.Interview and hire supervisory staff and train new hires on workplace procedures and protocols.Partner with various government entities and community partners (such as the Department of Education and ACCES-VR) to recruit people into our supported employment program.Ensure that all billing is properly submitted to the appropriate state and city agencies.Work closely with staff to help develop a creative curriculum to assist people in gaining the necessary skills to obtain and maintain employment.Provide guidance in the community to staff in regards to various coaching techniques and action plans to help all people in our program maintain their employment.Investigate allegations of abuse and neglect throughout AHRC New York City.
