Built Hydrogen v1, a React meta-framework for custom storefronts using an early version of React Server Components. Helped launch Oxygen, a full-stack JavaScript storefronts hosting platform powered by v8 isolates and Cloudflare. Rebuilt Hydrogen v1 into a Remix-based Hydrogen v2, and supported merchants launching on both versions. Introduced a Liquid theme development CLI to preview changes locally and create ephemeral hosted themes for development. Maintained and improved Storefronts architecture powering the online presence of millions of merchants. Ran performance experiments related to cache and data fetching, and helped roll out a new global web server infrastructure. Assisted with replication and materialization of a massive core database, and prototyped developer ergonomics for dealing with schema migrations and code changes to support hundreds of concurrent contributors.
