Project 1:Application developer responsible for implementing new software features. One of two developers that delivered a Contact Management System that centralized industry contact information. This information was available to all other Railinc applications via web service calls. Technology Stack:JSP - JSTLSpring - Struts - HibernateOracle 9 Project 2::One of six developers that wrote an application to track and report damaged and defective railroad cars for the industry. The software application written was replacing the Industry’s paper process. The application consisted of a web application for clients who chose to work in a browser environment, web services for B2B customers and hand held devices for field personnel reporting initial incidents and car defects. Java consultant that added new features to the existing web based career site production application. This was the same application that I helped develop on the previous engagement. Integrated a third party Contact Management system with the career site web application using Apache Axis, SOAP, Spring and JMS. The solution was implemented using a JMS Message Queue, a Message Listener and Apache Axis. Axis was used for the SOAP implementation and the WSDL2Java Ant task was added to the build system to create the necessary stubs and data types to support the Web Services calls. Primary Java application developer responsible for designing Duke’s clinical assessment web application. Participated in a large scale (30 developers, in various locations) system re-engineering project. Responsibilities focused on the user interface development (view and controller layer) as well as collaborating on the data access layer and associated business objects. Stored procedures were used when accessing data from legacy systems. Contributed to defect resolution and initial production support on the first phased rollout. Worked with the end users as needed to follow up and resolve assigned issues.Developed a web application support tool to assist internal support personnel with transaction monitoring.
