I worked in a team with others in order to assist customers by answering queries related to software licensing, hardware issues, and usage of campus technology. I do this both directly from the front desk and through ticketing systems. Through this, I have become familiar with Windows hardware and problem solving.(Did not work during summers).

I worked with the Payment Hub team at Galileo Financial Technologies.In this role, I designed and developed a system for capturing metrics and results for a relatively new product launch. The system was designed to prioritize the main purpose of the product and ensure that monitoring did not have any extra effect on response time. I primarily used Python and RabbitMQ for this. I also worked on extending an existing script that would enable this service to be used more widely by customers. I reported on any potential issues that I found while working, and made sure that the features were thoroughly tested. I also ensured that PCI information was handled correctly. Ultimately, the foundation was laid for this offering to grow from being used by a handful of clients to dozens.Additionally, I gained experience with AWS and deployment. Specifically, I dealt with AWS DynamoDB, KMS, IAM, Terraform, and EKS. For non-AWS products, I learned how to use Octopus and Kubernetes. I successfully deployed the summer's work to client validation and handled most of the debugging.Despite a lack of hands-on knowledge of many of these tools prior to the internship, I was able to complete all tasks given and create a working end result promptly, to the praise of mentors/managers.

I worked with the Real Time Pricing Engine (RTPE) team for this internship. We had daily scrum meetings and practiced agile methodologies. I heavily used Java and Docker in this role. I fixed bugs and assisted in migrating large amounts of documentation, as well as add features to the service's various APIs. I received compliments for my work!As a part of the internship, I also participated in a company hackathon and created a website/API within a week's time using Python, SQLite3, Node, and Javascript.Other technologies I used were Postman, Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Gradle, and GoCD.
