About Justin Abbott

As a Postdoctoral Research Associate at The University of Texas at Dallas, I fabricate and test ultra-micro dimensioned electrode arrays for interfacing with the cortex. My aim is to advance the functionality of neural interface devices for improving the quality of life of people with neurological disorders and the performance of neuroprosthetics.I have expertise in thin film fabrication of neural interfaces, in vivo and in vitro electrochemical testing. I have utilized these skills to create neural interfaces for use in mouse, rat, pig, and primate motor and somatosensory cortex.
