Duties, Responsibilities and Experiences:1.When I started doing indirect taxes, i had the opportunity to be on the team that handles one of the biggest clients, approximately paying $50 to $100M excise taxes a month. The project scope starts from data gathering then tax preparation, volume reconciliation and GL reconciliation. My fundamentals on the indirect taxes grown on this project with the help of my seniors and my US tax managers.2. On my 2nd and 3rd year, i was assigned to clients with business across 50 states which increased my tax knowledge in line with the statutory reporting (state due dates, filing methods and point of taxation). Mid-2018, I am handling 4-5 clients with different business types and products offered to the oil industry. I experienced reporting gas, diesel and jet fuel in different states. i created access query databases that provides me output shorter than when i do it manually that leads me to offer more productive hours doing ad-hocs(amendments, cleaning up state notices, tax research and internal process improvement).4. When i was promoted as a senior tax analyst in 2019 Q1, i started training analyst and transitioning my current projects to ease me up on dealing with on boarding clients. I also had the opportunity to lead a GL clean up team which primary task is to do the correct amendments, identify system errors and relay the right steps with the client. I can also be proud to include here my experience in helping a client to refund $2M fuel taxes we never collected from a license customer but remitted to the state.5.Last year, i am directly communicating with client and handing down instructions to my team to make sure that the 100+ returns were filed accurately and on time.6. Currrently, i am overseeing 3-4 projects and 1of them is a tax department transition: This includes customer/supplier tax set up which is widely on sales tax.

Duties, Responsibilities and Experiences:1. External Auditing main focus is to help the clients do the right things when it comes to compliance and taxation. My main role, as we are on a per client-basis is to cover all financial and taxation process: starting from business registration, bookkeeping, compliance and financial reporting.2. We are also encourage to provide financial assessment feedbacks to make sure that the client is complying with the BIR and SEC rules as well as identifying the areas where the client should focus.3. I experienced a full blown audit in a 5-star hotel in a tourist spot here in the Philippines wherein we rebuild their accounting process and help them clear out BIR assessments for them to continue doing business. I also had the experience on how to set up a accounting system from production upto generating of financial reports, We tested and identify gaps and do work around process to make sure that data coming from production is accurate which gives us good financial reports.

My scope of work in the Company was more on the clerical side and mostly paperworks, I worked closely with my supervisor to complete all sales invoices to be sent out to the sales team on a daily basis.2. I also had experience in helping creating a warehouse procedure to make sure that all movements were well-documented. This includes physical inventory counts at the end of the month as well as inventory reconciliation.Inventory reconciliation covers raw materials up to finished goods.3. I had the opportunity to explore, modify and reinvent the documentation process as well as the system process to provide accurate reports that will be beneficial to all departments (sales, logistics, inventory control and accounting).
