As chief scribe, I was responsible for maintaining the excellence of the scribe program at our site. I provided administrative support, quality assurance, and maintained appropriate staffing. I took part in the recruiting, hiring, training, development, guidance, counseling, mentoring, and termination of scribes at our site in addition to maintaining relationships with the physicians and administrative staff. I focused on numerous projects in the four target areas identified by the community health needs assessment including: family and childhood well-being, including nutrition and food insecurity, affordable housing including service enriched housing, healthcare access and equity, and behavioral health including the opioid epidemic.

As a medical scribe in the emergency department, I maintain outstanding time management skills, effectively work in a fast paced, high stress, and team-focused environment. As a trainer, I effectively train new scribes by communicating successfully and tailoring each learning experience to the trainee's strengths. I have worked in three different hospitals of varying trauma designations and I am familiar with hospital-based protocols and several electronic medical record systems.
