  Since July 2020 I have worked to transition the IT department's development team from Waterfall release cycles to Agile sprints. I have done this in the role of a Product Owner, liaising between organizational leadership, users and developers to define business priorities, groom user stories, write acceptance criteria and capture requirements for integrated solutions. This includes onboarding with new vendors as well as being onboarded for new OTT and VOD platform partners such as Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video and Youtube TV.With an immediate goal of smaller, more frequent and more iterative production releases implemented in January 2022, we have already reduced bug introduction and consistently addressed production issues more effectively for users with minimal impact to long-term planning.We have also instilled transparency across organizational leadership with regard to IT, Infrastructure and Engineering roadmaps. This has laid a solid foundation for ongoing negotiation as business priorities shift or change.My own professional growth in this position has been immense as I have applied Agile values and principles to my daily work. As a Product Owner I have worked to ensure that goals are agreed upon prior to work being done and that there is consensus that work is completed correctly before moving on to something new. Being a self-motivated individual myself, I have enjoyed my experience working on an Agile team more than my prior experience managing teams. It is really the combination of these experiences, however, that have yielded my greatest professional traits.
